I’m always on the look-out for simple & new concepts that buyers may be interested in licensing. Reading the news, as I do daily, I came across a new piece of European legislation on Data Protection, namely the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), that is coming into force on May 25th, 2018.
EU Law is boring but can produce profitable concepts
Granted, EU law is hardly exciting (trust me I know from my law school days), but if you’re looking to make money in this stock game, it’s about exploiting such news. Going deeper into the legislation, it affects business who may be outside the EU but engage with EU customers…meaning that is pretty much affects all businesses since the EU is a huge economic bloc.
I’m still brainstorming some useful concepts surrounding data protection and this legislation. From searching for the most popular images on the keyword “GDPR” on Shutterstock, to be brutally honest, I’m not that impressed with the benchmark. This is good news for me since I’ll be able to compete and should be a top contender should my ideas be executed well.
One example from today
Today I put together this one which I’ll be submitting to all micros. A 5 minute job to get the ball rolling. I chose to use of yellow font to mimic the stars of the EU flag.
In the next few days I’ll invest more time and energy into creating some more of these! On a side note, my passport composites (another trend, this time on international travel) are selling regularly – re-visit my post on them here.
Alex
Great ideas, and interesting that your passport composites are selling!
